A beautiful little trail on Lake Remembrance

Lake Remembrance is across the interstate and down about 1 mile from our RV Park in Gregory O. Grounds Park.  It is managed by Blue Springs, MO and the Missouri Conservation Department.  Several fishermen could be found along the shoreline, along with a few joggers and those enjoying the scenery.  The asphalt trail doesn't circle the 53 acre lake, although that would be nice, but it does follow the lake.  One end starts by the parking area and the other end is further down the interstate.  We followed just one of the side trails and calculated that we walked about 3 miles from one end to the other and back.  One of the side trails leads to a dog park.  It was a nice quiet walk, with lots of smelling for Krikkit.

I had mentioned Tuesday that it was National Devil's Food Cake day.  Josh baked a devil's food cake from scratch.  It seemed to be greatly enjoyed on their end.  We had a devil's food cake mix we needed to use, so Pat turned it into a cherry devil's food cake.  It was delicious!!  Thanks Pat!

5 doctor visits down, maybe 4 to go and we'll be done around here.  It looks like my pain is most likely caused by my spine.  I have arthritis and a collapsed disc pressing on nerves. I will try another spinal injection and physical therapy and then give in to surgery. This has been going on for almost 1 1/2 years.  We both felt comfortable with what she had to say.

  1. It's OK. I actually feel hope. The injection on Thurs. will, I believe, be mostly diagnostic. That will determine if the nerve ablation will work on the pinched nerve(s). The ablation can then last months or years until the nerve regenerates.
