Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow...

If you were a Twin Peaks (years ago) fan, I hear Snoqualmie Falls was featured in it's opening credits.  The exterior of the Salish Lodge (behind) was also featured on the show. The nearly 270' waterfall (100' higher than Niagara Falls) has over 1.5 people visit annually.

In the 1890's the world's first completely underground hydroelectric power plant was built at the falls.  In 1911 a second power plant was added on the Snoqualmie River.  They are still operating.

In the Snoqualmie legends the first man and woman were created by the moon transformer, son of an Indian woman and a star.  The moon transformer also created the massive Snoqualmie Falls.  It is said that the mists from the falling waters bring prayers up to the creator.

1890 railroad depot in Snoqualmie, restored in 1981.  It houses the Northwest Railway Museum.

There is an indoor exhibit area as well as outdoor.

Headed east this morning.

Thank you to our Harvest Hosts on Thurs., Seed Cupboard Nursery.  John and Lisa were very welcoming!

The nursery, near Royal City, WA, is beautiful!  If only I had a house to populate with flowers.

We were hungry and looking to relax when we arrived.  The Garden Grill was the perfect spot!  The temperature and breeze were great.

Pat had the cheeseburger with onion rings, and I had the BLT on toasted sourdough with tots, delivered to our table.  Talk about yummy!  I'm working on my autumn decor so the little pumpkin on the table was from the gift store.

Where are the Piepers now?  The Seed Cupboard Nursery near Royal City, WA.

Grandchildren: our favorite hello and our hardest good-bye!

...and yes, we love you more than infinity!

I'm a little rusty on bedtime songs.  My favorite, and one Cyrus always liked, is "My Grandfather's Clock."  I even got the words to "Three Blind Mice" wrong.  No worries, however, they knew it!😀  As they were leaving Weds. Samira serenaded me with the English verse of another song I could remember, "Frère Jacques."

"If there's a heaven for me, Im sure it has a beach attached." --Jimmy Buffet

]
Not a lot of sunny days here.  Monday night we were treated to a sunset on the beach.

Copalis Beach

We have enjoyed a relaxing week at Tidelands Campground at Copalis Beach, WA.  Not sure about Pat, but I think beach living would still be my choice for our post-traveling home.  We have had highs around 64° here though, which is a little too cold for me.

One word: diverse

Marymere Falls

This finishes up our Olympic National Park pictures.  We have gone from little internet in Rockport, WA to NO internet in Copalis, WA.  Almost impossible to even make phone calls from our campground.

Onward to Olympic National Park

Cinnamon rolls for breakfast at a popular mural in Port Angeles.

We divided up when we left Olympic National Park.  Pat and I drove around, while Zia and the kids took the car ferry.  Driving around took about a half hour more, but easier and cheaper with the RV.
