And again!

My banana was perfect Saturday morning!

The village of Boca Chica was evacuated early Friday morning with roads closed, air space cleared, and the launching pad cleared, so we headed for Port Isabel, arriving before 8:30.  No sooner did we get there and Mary sent notice that the evacuation was cancelled and there would be no launch Friday.  Next chance will be Monday.

Waiting for the launch...again๐Ÿš€

Bascilica of Our Lady of San Juan Del Valle

We enjoyed the day on Thursday.  We sat overlooking a waterway and the port in Port Isabel,  BUT SpaceX did NOT launch. We, along with quite a few others, waited from 8-4 with high hopes.  South Padre, a popular viewing location is 6 miles from the launch location and we figured we were about the same.

? SpaceX Launch

Waiting in Port Isabelle for a SpaceX Launch.

We left the RV park at 11 this morning (Mon.) and headed toward Port Isabelle.  It looked like a possibility of a SpaceX launch after 1:00.

Sooo much fun!

I had so much fun creating  "Tropicopoly."  Thanks to Pat it was even proportioned properly and drawn straight.  I spent two foggy and misty days (Weds. and Thurs.) drawing.  Fortunately it didn't rain hard enough to wash it away.

Arts and Crafts

We started our project for the Art Walk.  Do you know what it's going to be?

Friday is an Art Walk in our park.  Originally it was going to be a chalk walk, but I guess everyone thought they were too old to get down, or maybe up, from the ground, lol!  I don't really have any crafts to show, see picture below๐Ÿ˜‰, so I figured we would go with chalk.  We are living day-to-day for a SpaceX launch so I decided we should start drawing today (Weds.) in case they would launch Thursday.

Iwo Jima Monument

Iwo Jima Monument, Harlingen

A busy week.  We visited the Iwo Jima Monument and Veteran's Memorial, both in Harlingen, on Thurs.  I was feeling a little closed in,  so on Friday Pat took us on a road trip to La Feria and down to the border.

Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers....

The Peter Piper Pizza Parlor did not place a peck of pickled peppers on our perfect pizza pie. ๐Ÿ˜•  It was great pizza though!

I know it's colder elsewhere, but it is COLD here!  Sunday night hit 35°.  Northern Texas even had snow yesterday. Today and tomorrow may hit 50° with little to no sun.  Time to get out the blankets and catch up on some shows.

SpaceX SN9 on the launch pad in Boca Chica

Road trip to Boca Chica today.  Going to the beach and checking out SpaceX, who incidently may be scheduled to launch Weds.

Warmer weather coming our way

A little chilly for me today but, as opposed to the past couple of days and the ice storms in the midwest, it was pretty nice.  We got a walk in and took a bike ride around the RV Park.
