Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow...

If you were a Twin Peaks (years ago) fan, I hear Snoqualmie Falls was featured in it's opening credits.  The exterior of the Salish Lodge (behind) was also featured on the show. The nearly 270' waterfall (100' higher than Niagara Falls) has over 1.5 people visit annually.

In the 1890's the world's first completely underground hydroelectric power plant was built at the falls.  In 1911 a second power plant was added on the Snoqualmie River.  They are still operating.

In the Snoqualmie legends the first man and woman were created by the moon transformer, son of an Indian woman and a star.  The moon transformer also created the massive Snoqualmie Falls.  It is said that the mists from the falling waters bring prayers up to the creator.

1890 railroad depot in Snoqualmie, restored in 1981.  It houses the Northwest Railway Museum.

There is an indoor exhibit area as well as outdoor.

The nursery, near Royal City, WA, is beautiful!  If only I had a house to populate with flowers.

We were hungry and looking to relax when we arrived.  The Garden Grill was the perfect spot!  The temperature and breeze were great.

Pat had the cheeseburger with onion rings, and I had the BLT on toasted sourdough with tots, delivered to our table.  Talk about yummy!  I'm working on my autumn decor so the little pumpkin on the table was from the gift store.
