Some of the cacti here are starting to bloom and are beautiful but don't touch!😟

View of Casa Grande from Casa Grande Mountain Park.

On Monday we took a 5 minute drive to a mountain (we would call it a hill) at Casa Grande Mountain Park for a hike.

It has been mostly in the low 80's, which is slightly above normal for this time of the year.   Now, when the sun is out it is intense, and low 80s can be very uncomfortable if you are being active.   We started the hike at 10 a.m. and quickly discovered we should have started a couple of hours earlier.  We made it to the top though with a view of Casa Grande.

There are a lot of Saguaro Cacti around here.   On our walk today we were able to see quite a variety of cacti.

A variety of Cholla

Hedgehog Cactus

Teddy-Bear Cholla

Barrel Cactus?

It was a little toasty out there, but it was a nice hike.  There were quite a few trails we could back and hike.
Where are the Piepers now?  Casa Grande, AZ
