"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." ~Winnie the Pooh

We started with a couple of ranger talks at Fishing Bridge Visitor's Center followed by a hike nearby to Storm Point.

If anyone has someone interested in Minecraft (Cyrus) they know about obsidian.

Storm Point

S'mores their way. No fires allowed in the campground we were in (grizzly territory), only grills and they had to be put away when not in use. Samira was  happy: untoasted  marshmallow and chocolate. Cyrus likes his marshmallow extremely light brown. Neither like to do the toasting, so we did it by microwave.

We watched our share of movies.

Our last day together. We went with Josh's to check out Grand Teton NP as they headed back to Boston via Jackson Hole, WY. We had fun and loved having you. Till next time...

We headed back for our last night at Yellowstone. A short storm on Monday afternoon dropped trees on the road in Yellowstone. We encountered 9 downed trees. Cars backed up and there were delays as the rangers cut them up and removed them from the road.

Found these pictures from around 1960. My family stayed at Fishing Bridge Campground too.  Back then the campground was closer to the river. Now it has moved away from the river and it is the park's only full-service RV park. Fishing Bridge, by the way, no longer allows fishing because of the decrease in cutthroat trout.

Just stand there by that wild animal boys!

Lake Yellowstone, 1960?  I'm the little one.
