44 years on the 17th, no way! Happy Anniversary Pat ❤

"Can't  you see the sunshine? Can't you just feel the moonshine?"  Carolina in My Mind was written and sung by James Taylor. He spent most of his childhood in Carrboro, North Carolina.

On Friday we leave the Carolinas.  What an unusually hot (extremely hot) week, but anytime I can walk on a beach I am happy. I, at least, never tire of it. Most days we took a walk on the beach and then retreated to the cool RV. One day we visited several towns between Holly Ridge and the southern border of North Carolina. The Carolinas, specifically South Carolina, has stood out as a possible forever home. No decisions made yet.

We stayed at Topsail Sound RV Park, located outside of Holly Ridge. We could walk from our park to the bay but we had a 15 minute drive to Topsail Islsnd. We walked different sections of Topsail Island including Topsail Beach, Surf City, and North Topsail beach.

I'm looking for shells again!  There weren't many shells here, however, there were quite  a few polished rocks snd shell pieces.

This seagull caught his breakfast on Thursday.

I really enjoyed watching the many families playing both in the water and on the beach.

Our large RV Park.  It is mostly long-term residents who apperantly only show up on weekends.

Red Hot Poker

It was a block or two walk to the bay from our park.

Some little crabs in a marshy area.
