Well, I guess the sun did come out...finally!

The rain quit around 3 and we finally saw sun after 4.  Yesterday it projected a relatively dry day.  It was in the 50's most of the day and I think it was a few degrees shy of the supposed 75°high.

Took advantage of the rain day and did laundry--lots of it.  We played gin rummy this afternoon.

I started a new Stephanie Plum book by Janet Evanovich, new to me anyway.  It must have slipped past me when we were clearing out the house last year, because I see there's another one after it.  I am also listening to an audio book, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh.  I have read it before, but the Boston kids were reading it a while back so I thought I needed a refresher.  I'm not fond of audio books, as I like to imagine the character voices myself, but that's all the on-line library had

Pat likes crispy oatmeal cookies so I made a new recipe before dinner. They were really good, although they would be better with chocolate chips.  I told Mr. Low-carb they DEFINITELY weren't short on sugar!

We got a new extra-TP holder for the bathroom,  put it up with the sticky patch it came with a couple of days ago, and it already fell off.  Pat scraped the old sticky off and I reattached with bathroom, moisture-resistant Command Adhesive strips.

  1. I can almost smell those cookies. I woke up this morning with all clocks blinking. I heard the thunder and rain but don't know how much we got or how much more we will get. Going to be a inside work day.

    1. I'm thinking maybe since there are no chocolate chips they are "healthy" and could count as breakfast.😃 At 8 this morning it was 70! VERY windy. No rain here today but there will be tomorrow and Sat.

  2. I tried to post a comment to the Tuesday blog but not sure if it worked although it took me to a screen where I set up a profile name so maybe my name will show, if the posts work.
