The UFO has been identified

Pat said the monarch must have flown quite close to his lens.  How funny!  If you didn't see the "UFO," check yesterday's blog.

"Waiting for sweet corn to come to Iowa," share this butterfly incident with your wife!

We left Penmarallter Campground near Two Harbors this morning.  It was one of the smallest and nicest campgrounds we've stayed in.  I loved that the sites were so spacious, super clean, and we had a nice picnic table.   The owners were very nice.  Stan went out of his way to ensure a nice 4th of July for the campers.  This campground was very convenient for visiting sites on the North Shore of Lake Superior.  We did not have sewer, but with our 50 amp service came free honey wagon service.  Our first time.  Thanks Pennie and Stan for a fabulous week at Penmarallter!

Lots of trees and fluffy clouds enroute.

A 2 1/2 drive later we arrived at Pine Acres Resort and Campground in Orr, MN.  It is on Pelican Lake and is known for it's fishing. Pat said he saw a Pelican--only it was a statue.  Its kind of in the middle of nowhere, but only 45 minutes from Voyager National Park.  Orr is a town of 350 people and the closest hospital is in Cook, about 20 miles away, a town of around 500.  We're talking remote!

We had a brief phone call with the Bostonians for dinner.  Not much cell phone service and not much internet here.
